COMMITMENTS TO THE RESOLUTION OF CONFLICTS OF INTEREST
Conflicts of interest arise when personal activities or relationships interfere—or appear to interfere—with one’s ability to act in the best interest of the company.
Key guideline: use your judgment and common sense. When in doubt, consult the People & Culture team. Below are guidelines for the most common situations:
Family Members: Employees and service providers must inform directors and/or shareholders in the following situations:
If, in the course of your work, you have the authority to negotiate or participate in a bidding or selection process in which a family member holds a management, representative role, or has a significant ownership interest.
If a family member or relative negotiates with ATENAS on behalf of another company, whether as a client or supplier.
In the case of friends or relatives, ensure that the relationship does not affect—or appear to affect—your ability to act on behalf of ATENAS.
Do not request or accept gifts, invitations, or favors from clients or suppliers if they could compromise your ability to make business decisions in the best interest of ATENAS. Acceptance may occur only if all of the following conditions are met:
The giver does not expect any form of compensation or reciprocal benefit; The gift does not involve cash or gift cards;
The gift has symbolic or nominal value.
COMMITMENT TO THE PREVENTION OF ACTIVITIES RELATED TO DRUGS, ALCOHOL ABUSE, AND OTHER SUBSTANCES
ATENAS acknowledges that the use of drugs, alcohol abuse, and other substances impair individuals’ abilities and work performance, and may put their own safety and the safety of those around them at risk. Therefore, their use is strictly prohibited for all individuals working within ATENAS facilities, whether employees or third-party contractors.
Any activity related to illegal drugs is also strictly prohibited on company premises, client facilities, or in leased vehicles, including but not limited to consumption, storage, trafficking, or any related conduct.
ATENAS also prohibits the use of alcohol and drugs while performing professional duties at jobs and external events sponsored by clients where the team is working.
The moderate consumption of alcoholic beverages is permitted during team celebration occasions. However, any agency leadership or individual who witnesses abusive consumption may and must request that the employee, contractor, or supplier leave the premises.
Individuals or companies that fail to comply with these policies will be subject to internal sanctions and may be reported to the competent authorities.
