TIM brought 15 spaces and a fully 5G-connected activation to Rock in Rio.

The main activation was designed to push the limits of Cidade do Rock: A 5G-powered karaoke experience connected amateur singers to a band performing remotely through holography. The singer of the moment appeared as a hologram alongside the musicians, an activation never before seen at major festivals. Two booths, called 5G Karaoke Studio, were spread across Cidade do Rock, while an additional remote booth was set up at the TIM store in the New York City Center shopping mall.


Download. The 30-meter-high tower—one of Cidade do Rock’s most radical rides—invited participants to sing while moving up and down at speeds of up to 50 km/h, a playful nod to the operator’s ultra-fast 5G speed.At the end of the experience, participants received a QR code granting access to an exclusive video of their experience.
